Team Meco, Meco Corporation’s American Cancer Society team, finished 52nd in the nation, raising $53,439.
Team Meco, the company’s all-volunteer ACS team, is part of the Relay For Life of Greene County and Lakeway, is one of the company’s long-standing traditions. The company team raises funds by hosting internal events such as themed lunches as fundraisers. Recent popular events include Pi day, held on March 14, and the ever-popular Souper-Bowl lunch.
The team’s main fundraising event is the Annual Joe Hickerson Golf Tournament held each April at Link Hills.
Proceeds generated for the Tennessee ACS help provide patients with transportation costs or lodging. In 2023, Greene County residents stayed 208 nights in the Tennessee Hope lodge and those patients were saved $26,000.
