A Wind Advisory will be in effect for Southeast Greene County from 1 AM Friday until 7 AM Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, winds of 15 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts up to 55 mph possible. The remainder of the county will have winds between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
In addition to high winds, heavy rain is also in the forecast. Rainfall totals for Greene County are expected to range from 2-4 inches from Friday through Sunday. The heaviest rain is expected between midnight Saturday through noon on Sunday.
