Two men were charged with theft of a tree stand from Bulls Gap property.
A Thompkins Road man reported he observed two men dragging the tree stand off his property and into ther woods.
Investigation later led deputies to a residence which adjoins the victims property.
Clayton Hinkle of Pilot Mountain Road and Charles Keller of Lautner Road were both charged with Theft less thans$1,000 and taken to the Detention Center to await a sessions court appearance.
The tree stand was returned to the owner.
