A barn and contents were destroyed by fire in northern Greene County Friday night.
Volunteers with the United, Tusculum, Newmansville, Mosheim, Fall Branch, and Debusk Volunteer Fire Departments were called to Shipley Lane off Sulphur Springs Loop just after 6:00 PM. The barn was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene. Fuel tanks inside the building were of concern to firefighters. A Sheriff’s Department report released this morning says the structure, valued at $70,000, was owned by Barbara Keller
EMS, Greeneville Energy Authority, and the Debusk Rehab unit also responded to the scene. Firefighters cleared the scene around 11:30 PM.
