A traffic stop for a registration violation around 1:45 Wednesday on West Andrew Johnson Highway at the Baileyton Access resulted in more serious charges against the driver.
Charles L. Manis of Brown Springs Road in Mosheim was already wanted on a violation of probation warrant. Greeneville Police also say Manis had a pistol on his person which led to a charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
