A Greeneville woman says she sent $700 for a deposit to another woman for a side by side transaction on Facebook Marketplace. The woman says however the transaction was never completed and her money was not returned.
The victim says the money was transferred through Venmo but the suspect, who she named, blocked her following the deposit.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
