The Greeneville Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire in an apartment Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported just after 3:30 p.m. at the apartments on Crestview Drive, located off East Andrew Johnson Highway and South Rufe Taylor Road. The blaze originated in an upstairs bathroom, caused by a bathroom fan and light fixture. Firefighters used two water extinguishers to bring the fire under control.
There were no injuries. The occupant of the apartment was home at the time of the fire, but the blaze did not spread to any adjacent units.
The Greeneville Police Department and the Greeneville Energy Authority also responded to the scene.
