Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ashley Garden, 34, for Aggravated Domestic Assault on Monday, November 11, 2024.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, Deputies arrived at a residence in the 300 block of CD Williams Road late Monday afternoon in response to an aggravated assault. Upon walking up to the residence, Deputies heard both parties yelling at each other. They made contact with Garden, who at the time was believed to be the victim. She stated a man, later identified as the victim, was hiding in the residence and may have access to a firearm.
Deputies made entry into the residence and found the victim hiding behind the water heater downstairs. Upon making contact with the victim, he advised law enforcement that he was hiding from the suspect due to her firing a rifle inside the house and threatening to shoot him. The victim showed law enforcement videos on his cellphone stating that Garden was hunting him. Deputies could hear sounds of gunfire inside the residence on the video.
During the investigation, Deputies discovered three spent 22 caliber rounds inside the residence, and a 22 rifle on the bed in the bedroom.
Garden admitted she fired shots inside the residence. Due to the totality of the circumstances, Garden was transported to the Washington County Detention Center without incident. She is being held without bond and will appear in court on Tuesday, November 12.
