Bowling Recap: Chuckey-Doak/South Greene vs. Dobyns-Bennett

On Wednesday afternoon at The Alley, Chuckey-Doak/South Greene and Dobyns-Bennett faced off in a competitive bowling matchup, looking to secure top spots in the conference standings. The Rebel Knights emerged victorious over the Indians with a decisive 21.5–5.5 win, while the Lady Indians remained undefeated by defeating the Lady Rebel Knights 20–7.

The Rebel Knights took an early lead with a strong start in the first game, with Peyton Murphy scoring 193 and Evan Stills 181. Dobyns-Bennett’s Ryan Barrett put up a fight with a 204, and Landon Dunlap rolled a 192.

In game two, Gavin Murray set the tone for the Rebel Knights with an impressive 278 after stringing together eight strikes. Murphy added a 199, and Stills followed with a 185, helping to extend the Rebel Knights’ lead to 12–4. Dobyns-Bennett was paced by Dunlap’s 212 and Maddox Ashcough’s 198.

In the Baker games, both teams rolled a 180 in the first, but the Rebel Knights closed out with a 233–201 win in the second, securing their 7–0 record for the season. Dobyns-Bennett’s record now stands at 3–1.

For the girls, Dobyns-Bennett’s Riley Grace Bridges opened with a 211 to give the Lady Indians a 6–2 lead, while Sadie Roberts led the Lady Rebel Knights with a 171. Destiny Dishner and Bridges continued to build the Lady Indians’ lead in game two, with scores of 171 and 170. The Lady Rebel Knights’ top scorer was Sara Wirt with 173.

In the Baker games, the Lady Rebel Knights won the first with a close 132–123, but the Lady Indians responded with a dominant 200–123 victory in the second game. Dobyns-Bennett improves to 4–0, while Chuckey-Doak/South Greene falls to 4–3.
