Greene County Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash Friday around 3:00 PM, in the 1900 block of Jockey Road in Limestone.
The wreck reportedly involved two persons who had left the scene of the incident. Further down the road from the crash scene, deputies made contact with the suspects, David Beckey of Milburnton Road, Limestone, and Brenda Peters of Parrottsville. According to the report, Beckey tossed a bag into the grass upon the deputies’ arrival.
Beckey allegedly admitted to driving and stated he had lost control of the vehicle. Beckey was confirmed to have a suspended license. The bag was recovered and contained drug paraphernalia. as well as a baggie containing a crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine.
Beckey was taken into custody and field sobriety tests were conducted in the sallyport of the detention center, on which the suspect reportedly performed poorly. Beckey was charged with DUI, driving on suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of Schedule 2 Drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.
Peters was also charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
