Deputies responded to a Simple Assault at Highland Park Lane in Afton, at 5:00 AM Friday.
The victim told officers that the suspect, Alfredo Pizano of Fairfield Drive, came to the property with another individual, and entered the home without permission. The victim made the second individual leave the property, and then an argument ensued between the victim and Pizano.
The victim stated that he pushed her down, and when she got back to her feet, Pizano punched her in the face and broke her nose. The victim reportedly grabbed her son and ran to the neighbors.
According to the report, deputies announced themselves multiple times along with K9 warnings before beginning the search of the home. When the suspect did not comply, a K9 was deployed into the home and located the suspect laying on a bed. When deputies attempted to place the suspect in custody, he allegedly began to fight. He was given multiple warnings to stop resisting, and when Pizano continued to resist, the K9 officer bit the suspect on the left foot, and he was then able to be placed into custody. Greene County EMS responded to the scene and Pizano was then transported by deputies to Greeneville Community Hospital East ER for treatment.
Charges for Pizano include Aggravated Domestic Assault, Aggravated Burglary, Resisting Arrest, and Violation of an Order of Protection or a Restraining Order.
