A man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly threatening family members with a knife.
Greeneville police went to a home in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue and were told that three people had locked themselves in a bedroom. The suspect, 19-year-old Kameron Lester, was sitting outside the house on a bench.
Officers were told that Lester had been screaming at the family members while holding a large hunting knife. Lester began yelling to officers that the family had been putting thoughts in his head and that he wanted them out of the house.
Police were given a bag that contained illegal mushrooms and a jar of THC wax. Officers had to use force in order to take Lester into custody.
Lester was charged with three counts of aggravated assault along with resisting arrest, and was taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
