NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tusculum University freshman forward Addison Rishling has been named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 20.
Rishling scored two goals in back-to-back matches against Emory & Henry and Limestone last week, scoring both goals in the second half in each game to rally the Pioneers from a 1-0 deficit.
Against Emory & Henry on Wednesday, Rishling scored in the 61st and 88th minutes to boost the Pioneers to a 2-1 victory, and then on Saturday at Limestone she scored in the 73rd and 76th minutes to give Tusculum a 2-1 lead at Limestone.
The Wonder Lake, Illinois native leads the Pioneers and is fourth in the South Atlantic Conference in goals with six, and is tied for eighth in the league with a team-high 12 points.
The Pioneers are on the road on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Coker, beginning at 4:30 p.m
