More than 10,000 people have voted early for the November 5 election, the Greene County Election Commission office has announced.
Through Wednesday, there have been 10,147 total early votes received by the Election Commission, which is exactly two-thirds of the entire early vote for the 2020 election with seven days of early voting remaining.
The turnout for Wednesday was 1,456 votes, boosting the overall increase in early voting from the same point four years ago to just shy of 30 percent. In-person early voting continues to run at more than 55 percent above the pace of 2020.
Early voting will end one week from today, and the Election Commission office on CCU Boulevard will be open today from 8:30 AM until 6 PM.
