Turnout for the first day of early voting was up dramatically in Greene County, according to information provided by the Election Commission.
There were a total of 1,361 early votes on Wednesday, up more than 40 percent from each of the last three presidential election years. Over that span, the number of early votes on day one ranged from 737 to 775.
The Greene County Election Commission will offer 13 more days of early voting. Hours today are 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM at 311 CCU Boulevard. The final day of early voting for the November 5 election will be Thursday, October 31.
