A Greeneville woman who was sitting with her feet in the roadway was arrested for drug possession late Tuesday night.
Around 11:30 PM, an officer with the Greeneville Police Department spotted a woman sitting at the intersection of Loretta Street and West Church Street rocking back and forth with her feet in the roadway.
The woman, identified as Misty Foreman of Leonard Street, did not have any shoes on and said she had walked from Mt. Hebron Road. A glass pipe with drug residue and a pill bottle were found in her hoodie. The bottle contained 12 grams of a substance identified as methamphetamine.
According to the report, Foreman admitted to smoking meth earlier in the night. She was transported to the Greene County Detention Center for felony possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
