Only seven roads in Greene County are still closed due to the recent floods.
G’Fellers Road and Brown’s Bridge Road remain closed. Both of those roads run along the river, where the banks eroded. Bird’s Bridge and Earnest Bridge are closed pending inspection for structural damage. Indian Creek Road off of Bird’s Bridge Road remain closed due to mud and debris. The debris from Pate’s Hill Road in western Greene County has been removed, but minor repairs are still being done. Local traffic is able to drive through that area.
In Washington County, Snapp Bridge is closed. TDOT noted the bridge has moved a foot. Little Germany Road is closed and is under reconstruction which should take a few weeks to complete. Arnold Road and Jackson Bridge are open in Washington County with possible lane closures due to the debris removal process. Arnold Road also has ongoing water line work which could cause delays.
Asheville Highway at Lovettes Bridge, Newport Highway, Jones Bridge, and Allen’s Bridge on East Allen’s Bridge Road are open and accessible.
Easterly Bridge at Popular Springs Road and Kinser Bridge on the Erwin Highway were destroyed.
