Greeneville City Council will consider two items related to the Greeneville/Greene County Landfill when it meets this Tuesday afternoon.
The council will consider the issuing of a capital outlay note of up to $1.4 million to purchase equipment for the landfill, along with an amendment to the Joint Venture Agreement with Greene County for the purchase.
Due to the recent disaster, additional equipment is needed at the landfill to provide for the proper disposal of wood waste. The note would go toward the purchase of a Wood Hog industrial-grade grinder.
Also on the agenda is approval of a pavement condition survey for all roads within the city limits. Two firms will be under consideration to be awarded the project.
The Beer Board will meet after the City Council meeting and vote on a request for on-premise consumption at the Red Eye Bar & Grill at 360 East Andrew Johnson Highway.
The Greeneville City Council meets Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the G. Thomas Love Board Room at the Greeneville Energy Authority.
