Greeneville City Schools received a 100 for the first semester on health inspections for all of the cafeterias in the school system.
Director Starnes was proud to report the news during the school board meeting Tuesday. He explained how difficult it is to achieve 100 on a health inspection. Only a minor issue can affect the grading. He gave a shout-out to the cafeteria staff, managers, and Karen Wilhoit for their leadership.
The perfect inspection was made possible because of the employees, who show up and dedicate their day to providing a safe and clean environment for each person who enters the cafeteria. According to Starnes, the Tennessee Department of Health inspects school cafeterias twice a year, once each semester.
