Police were requested to a convenience store in the 1600 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway Saturday night, concerning someone apparently passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.
At 9:30 last night, officers arrived and observed a female, identified as Brittany Brock of Susong Memorial Road, slumped over the steering wheel of the car, asleep.
When she was awakened, officers reported she had slurred speech. She was asked to perform Field Sobriety Tests, which she performed poorly on.
A search found a baggie that contained 50 pills of suspected Xanax, another baggie with about 2 grams of a crystal-like substance beleived to be meth, and a metal pipe with white residue inside.
Brock consented to a blood draw and was taken to the Greene County Detention Center where she was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Simple Possession of Methamphetamine.
