A Greeneville man was arrested this morning around 1 AM for a warrant after he reportedly lied to police about his identity.
Deputies responded to a Whitehouse Road home to conduct a warrant check on 45-year-old Jerry Evans. Upon arrival, a male answered the door but refused to show his face. Deputies asked if Jerry was home, and the male responded he would look for him. He went back to the door and told deputies Jerry was not home.
According to the report, the man tried to close the door on authorities but was unsuccessful and immediately taken into custody. The man was confirmed to be the suspect Jerry Evans. He was arrested for his violation of probation warrant.
Another person was arrested earlier this week for a violation of probation and a child support warrant. Authorities responded to Kidwell School Road Wednesday afternoon to look for 29-year-old Jacqueline Williams. She was found in a back bedroom, hiding behind a mirror.
