Walters State will have their Annual Fall Prevention event on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 at their Niswonger Campus in Greeneville.
The free workshop is from 10-12 PM and is presented by students enrolled in Walters State’s Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapist Assistant programs. Although the event is geared toward older members of the community, everyone is welcome.
Those who attend will receive individualized assessments for any potential fall risk, education on fall prevention techniques, as well as handouts on possible home modifications. Students will work under the supervision of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants.
