Several warrant arrests were made over the weekend including an arrest on the 200 block of Hogan Avenue.
The Greeneville Police Department arrived at a home on Sunday around 1:15 AM to serve a warrant on a suspect. Police were let into the residence by the homeowner and began a search. Officers located a male hiding in the basement under a tarp. The man identified himself as Christopher Smith.
According to the report, Smith had an active warrant for violation of probation in sessions and criminal court. He was arrested and taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on the 200 block of Mcmillan Road in Mosheim Sunday at around 10:30 PM for a warrant check on Jason Rogers. Deputies knocked on the door of a building that was next to the residence, as they had experience with Rogers and believed he was inside. No one came to the door but deputies could hear someone moving inside and saw a male jump over the coach.
After getting access to the building, Rogers was found hiding behind the coach. He was arrested for his warrants of Capias and Violations of Probation.
