Police responded Friday morning to a report of a man screaming behind a business in the 800 Block of Tusculum Boulevard.
At 8:30 AM Friday, officers searched the area, and found a man going through items in an enclosed trailer, within the fenced area behind the Burlap Bunny. The man was identified as William C. Dunbar of Mosheim. Dunbar reportedly stated he had entered the property through a gap in the locked gate, and he was there to look at furniture stored in the trailer.
Officers spoke to the owners, who said that no one had given Dunbar permission to be on the property. Dunbar was placed under arrest for burglary and during a search, a baggie containing .5 grams of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine was found in his front pants pocket. Dunbar was also charged with possession of meth, and was transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
