A property owner on the 1900 block of Culbertson Road reported he found someone sleeping in a tent near his residence. It also appeared someone broke into the home and was staying inside.
The victim spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday. He said when he confronted the suspect; the woman stated people next door gave permission for her to be on the property. Deputies spoke with the neighbors who denied the allegation. They said they believed the woman’s name was Samantha and she left walking down the road. Someone did state there was a fire at the shed the night prior.
The report states someone entered the home through a window that was found open. The suspect reportedly removed an air conditioner and a table to gain entry inside. It appeared as if someone was staying in the home but it didn’t seem like anything was stolen. Suspected drug paraphernalia was discovered in the tent and there was an empty firearms case behind the shed.
The woman was described to be about 5’6 with blond hair; she was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and light pajama pants.
