A Kingsport Highway man reported missing on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, was reportedly confirmed to be safe on Tuesday afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Tweed reported around 2:30 PM on Tuesday that he received word that 55-year-old Kenneth Cole was in a safe place. He stated the community helped with spreading the word and that is what prompted the phone call, leading to a possible location for Cole.
A Kingsport Highway man was reported missing on Saturday, August 24th, 2024.
55-year-old Kenneth S. Cole was reportedly last seen on Saturday morning by his landlord. The landlord spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and said he noticed the lights inside of Cole’s apartment were on but stated Cole was not home. The man said when he entered Cole’s residence, there were several notes found, but the report did not indicate what the notes said. The victim has also recently paid for burial services, according to the report.
Family members have attempted to reach out to Cole, but his phone was off and found inside of his home. Cole allegedly left his home in a 2000 dark gray Saturn, TN Tag 532BBHY. The Greene County Criminal Investigations Department asks that if anyone has information on his location, to please call 911 or Detective Sergeant Tweed at 423-798-1800 ext. 1517.
