The Greene County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for a woman who reportedly took off driving recklessly while there was someone in the bed of the truck.
According to the victim, on Wednesday he and the alleged suspect, named in the report, were picking up a Chevy truck on Hazel Shelton Lane. The victim said he got in the bed of the truck and the suspect got into the driver’s seat. The suspect reportedly then drove away at a high rate of speed down Dyer Road and slammed the brakes.
The victim said he called the woman and told her she was trying to kill him. The suspect replied that was the plan. According to the report, witnesses confirmed they heard the statement. One witness also said they saw the woman driving reckless with the victim in the bed of the truck.
The victim told deputies he jumped out of the truck as he was scared for his life when the suspect turned onto the Asheville Highway and almost got hit by oncoming traffic. A warrant was issued for aggravated domestic assault.
