A Mosheim man was charged with driving under the influence Wednesday during a welfare check at a Quick Stop Market on the 800 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway.
According to an employee, Travis Gregory went into the store and sat in his vehicle for about 40 minutes. He reportedly had a blank stare on his face and was nodding off. The Greeneville Police Department arrived on the scene around 11 PM and located his vehicle at a gas pump.
Gregory was reportedly slow with his movements when an officer knocked on his window but eventually opened the door. Due to the nature of the call, the officer had Gregory perform sobriety tests. He allegedly performed poorly, was arrested with DUI, and taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
