Jennifer Wilder from the Greene County Partnership, Keep Greene Beautiful/Leadership Director, is leaving the partnership soon. President and CEO of GCP, Jeff Taylor, announced she would be departing during the Greeneville City Council meeting on Tuesday. He said Wilder will be working with Scott Bullington at the Boys and Girls Club of Greeneville and Greene County.
Wilder has made 19 years of impact in the Town of Greeneville and hundreds of students’ lives, youth and adult, through initiatives like leadership programs. She has also contributed to the beauty of the community by leading the Keep Greene Beautiful Program. City Manager Todd Smith said Wilder has built a legacy in this town. She spoke briefly during the meeting and said it was difficult to make the decision to leave GCP, but she is now on to the next chapter of her life.
The Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary next week. The Director, Nicole Rader, said the 50th Anniversary is on August 13th. The Roby Fitzgerald building is also going to be turning 130 years old. Rader said the center is celebrating with cake and punch; everyone is invited. Folks can tour the center, compare the past with the present, and view the historical features that will be displayed.
Adrian Wallace and Josh Swatzell were appointed to the Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center Advisory Committee on Tuesday during the Greeneville City Council meeting. The Advisory Board nominated both for a two-year term and the City Council approved the appointment. The council also approved the reappointment of Margaret Forby and Justine Wills to the Advisory Committee for a two-year term.
