Chuck Jeffers won reelection to a 5th term as the Greene County Property Assessor. Jeffers was unopposed in both the May primary and in Thursday’s Greene County General Election. Jeffers received 4,024 votes.
George Frye was officially elected as County School Board member for the 2nd District. Frye was appointed to the position after the resignation of Tommy Cobble. Frye ran unopposed and received 503 votes.
School Board Chairman Rick Tipton won his seat for the 7th District. He was also unopposed and received 504 votes.
Jamie Tilson ran unopposed and was elected as Mayor of Baileyton with 22 votes. Aldermen Steve Hall and Sherrie Ottinger received 29 and 25 votes, respectively.
In Mosheim, Rick Cunningham was reelected Mayor with 69 votes. Stacy Carter received 71 votes, James Foshie 66, and Matthew Solomon 71 as they were reelected as Aldermen.
And Doug Debusk ran unopposed for Greeneville Water Commissioner, receiving 1,706 votes.
