A Mosheim man who hired a business to do work on his property reported he still hasn’t received his refund after canceling the services in June.
The man spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Friday and said he contacted Edwards Land Management for their services. The work included a delivery for three loads of top soil, leveling the yard, water run off work, and seeding new grass, totaling $3,400. $920 was allegedly requested up front for the cost of rental equipment.
The victim reportedly sent a check in April for $920 and it was cashed a short time later. According to the report, the victim tried contacting the business multiple times for the work but each time there was an excuse. In June, the victim spoke with the business and demanded that if no work was done there would need to be a refund. The report states the alleged suspect agreed a refund would be sent.
Since then, there has still not been a refund and now the victim is not able to get in touch with the business. A suspect was named in the report. No charges were listed.
