Chapel Hill, N.C. – The Appalachian League has announced its rosters for the 2024 All-Star game that will be played at TVA Credit Union Ballpark in Johnson City. The two division leaders, Danville Otterbots and Greeneville Flyboys, both placed seven players on the teams, followed closely by the Kingsport Axmen with six and the Tri-State Coal Cats with five.
The Flyboys will send three position players, along with four pitchers to compete in the two-day event. The Futures game and a Home Run Derby will be held on the 22nd beginning at 5:00, while the All-Star game will be played at 7:00 on the 23rd. The game will be streamed live on MLB.com and MLB.TV.

Brady Francisco, a catcher from Grand Canyon University will carry a .307 batting average into the contest. He has thrown out a league-high ten runners who have attempted to steal.
Nick Arias, an infielder from Pima Community College, leads the league with forty-one hits while also ranking fourth in batting average (.333) and sixth in runs (41). Arias is a second-year player in the league having been assigned to Bristol in 2023.
Brodie Johnston, an infielder who is committed to Vanderbilt University, is leading the league in several categories. He has fourteen extra-base hits, sixty-six total bases, scored thirty runs, and drove in thirty-six. He currently has a .297 batting average and has belted five home runs. He was named the Hitter of the Week for the first week of July.
Two pitchers from Oklahoma State will be making the trip to Johnson City. Kyle Bade has a 2.33 earned run average and twenty-seven strikeouts over his first five starts. Blake Julius leads the league with a 0.00 earned run average while holding opposing batters to a .123 batting average. He has at least two strikeouts per appearance and has never surrendered more than two hits in his eight games.
Grand Canyon University pitcher, Brock Toney, has made eleven appearances out of the bullpen. He has a 1.40 earned tun average and has kept opponents to a .156 batting average.
East Tennessee State University pitcher, Brady Frederick, was named the first Pitcher of the Week for the 2024 season. He has collected five saves in the twelve games that he has appeared in this season.
