According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, heat indices will approach 100 degrees for many locations across the Tennessee Valley this afternoon.
The weather service suggests practicing heat safety by staying hydrated and advise that if you are spending time outdoors, you should take frequent breaks in shaded areas. Also, look before you lock. Unseasonably hot conditions with heat indices from the upper 90’s to low 100’s will continue on Wednesday through Monday. Although it will be mostly hot with lows below the 70’s, there is a chance of rain each day this week.
