A Greeneville woman reported Thursday that she lost $4,500 in a jury duty scam.
The Pisgah Road woman said she received a phone call regarding a missed jury summons. The suspect, who claimed to be Captain Rader, said he going to sign a warrant on her unless she sent money.
The suspect had the victim to go a Bitcoin kiosk at Ingles on the East Andrew Johnson Highway to send him $4,500.
If you receive a call of this nature, do not give out any personal information or send money. Law enforcement will never ask for any kind of payments over the phone.
