A Chuckey man was due in court this week in Washington County following his fifth DUI arrest.
43-year-old Billy R. Beasley was traveling on Interstate 26 around 8:30 PM Saturday. Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office saw his vehicle pull off into the emergency lane, turn into the grass, and strike a concrete barrier.
When deputies checked on Beasley, he admitted to drinking three alcoholic beverages while driving and refused to take field sobriety tests. He was allegedly uncooperative with deputies as they attempted to take him into custody. They assisted Beasley to the ground and handcuffed him.
A records check showed it was Beasley’s fifth DUI in the past 8 years. He was also charged with resisting arrest and driving on a revoked license.
