The Greeneville Greene Devils’ soccer team finished a very tough 2024 season with a 14-11-1 record, including a 7-1 record in the postseason and finished as the state runner-up in the TSSAA class 2A tournament. Today the Region 1 accolades were released, and several Greene Devils were among those listed.
Seniors Connor Stayton, Tanner Myers, and David Fisher were among those listed as specialty winners. Stayton brought home the Defender of the Year, Myers the Goalkeeper of the Year, and Fisher the Region 1-2A Most Valuable Player. Coach Jerry Graham was named Coach of the Year.
The first team members included seniors, Austin Beets and Brody Inscore, followed by junior, Simon Holt, and sophomore, Samuel Gourley.
Those listed on the second team were seniors, Brandon Rogers and Liam Polte, along with junior, Griffin Gricunas and freshman, Jude Dyer.
