According to an update provided by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department this afternoon, a Mosheim teenager who was reported missing earlier this week has been located.
On Thursday afternoon, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was notified by an officer with the Trenton Police Department in Dade County, Georgia that 14-year-old Alexis Lamons was at the station along with an adult male suspect.
Lamons’ grandmother was contacted and advised to make arrangements to pick her up in Georgia. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, charges, if any, are unknown at this time. The case is still considered open as follow-ups will need to be made.
Lamons was reported missing by her grandmother on Sunday after running away from home.
