A Limestone man is facing charges after leaving his wrecked vehicle last week.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash at 50 Happy Valley Road Friday evening. Upon arrival, a Honda Accord belonging to Michael Fowler was found abandoned and in the middle of the roadway. The complainant said Fowler had just left the scene. He was reportedly picked up by a passerby on a tractor.
Fowler was later located at his residence on Happy Valley Road, not far from the wreck site. He reportedly said he wrecked his vehicle because he was texting and driving.
He was issued a summons to appear in court for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. He was also cited for using his phone while driving.
