A man was caught stealing out of a woman’s car Tuesday afternoon on the 2100 block of North Mohawk Road.
The victim told deputies she had her hands occupied and was on the phone when she forgot her purse inside her vehicle, unlocked and with the windows down. The victim said she was working on the house and walked outside to take out the trash. That’s when she saw the man on the driver’s side reaching through the window.
The victim stated she began yelling and the suspect took off. He was described as a short white male with a bald head and a blue backpack. According to the report, the victim’s wallet was out of her purse when she found it, and $200 was missing.
