The Greene County Board of Education will meet this afternoon at 4:30 PM and will have their joint board meeting with Greeneville City Schools beginning at 6 PM this evening at the Greene Technology Center.
The Greene County School Board will recognize Samuel Riddle from Chuckey-Doak High School for having perfect attendance. There will be a discussion on reports and updates from departments. The board will consider approving grants, field trips, and a contract for Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency (Head Start). A Memorandum of Understanding between (UETHDA) and Greene County Schools will be considered for approval.
According to the agenda, the purpose is to cooperate in a common effort to serve children with disabilities in the least restrictive environment. Based on this agreement, speech evaluations and therapy for all diagnosed children will be provided.
Also to be considered are contract renewals for Holston Home for the operation of a flow-through classroom for Voluntary Pre-K, and renewals for GCS Stokes Academy, and the Foster Grandparent Program. The meeting will be held at GTC on 1121 Hal Henard Road.
