The Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center Advisory Committee is currently looking to fill two positions.
Appointed members shall serve two-year terms. The governing board at the adult center has final authority and responsibility for the conduct of the center and is required to have four or more members.
According to the Town of Greeneville, the governing board may include members who may be recipients of the services of the adult day care center, relatives of such recipients, or representatives of community organizations with particular interest in programs for the elderly. No member of the governing board, nor any member of the immediate family of a member of the governing board, shall have any direct or indirect interest in any contract for supplying services to the adult day care center.
Current members: Hope Broyles (Chair), Cal Doty (Mayor), Hazel Bible, D.J. Dalton, Margaret Forby, Velma LaRoche, Joyce Ottinger, Regina Phillips, Nadine Ricker, Tim Ward (City Council), Justine Wills.
The committee meets on the fourth Monday of the month as necessary, at 9 AM at the center located on 203 North College Street. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
