Police were called to check on the welfare of a person asleep behind the wheel of a gold Honda on Tusculum Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Officers found a female asleep in the car about 5:15 PM Friday, in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Tusculum Boulevard with the vehicle running.
Officers turned off the vehicle, and then woke up the female, identified as Ashley Kinley of Jonesborough. Kinley performed well on field sobriety tests, however a K9 deputy gave a positive alert on the front passener door of the car.
Officers located 3 baggies of a blue powdery substance, a scale, several syringes, and a large amount of cash. Kinley was placed under arrest for Sell and Delivery of a Schedule 1 Drug, believed to be heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
