The Greeneville Energy Authority will have a meeting Monday morning at 9 AM on 110 North College Street.
The GEA board will have their first meeting with Dwayne Wells acting as Interim President and CEO. Wells is the Director of Power Services at GEA and was one out of four internal candidates selected for the position after a recommendation, due to the passing of GEA’s President Chuck Bowlin in April. Wells started the position effective May 29th, 2024.
The board will receive monthly updates from departments including Finance, Engineering and Operations, and will get an update on Broadband services. A discussion for approval on the salary and benefits for Wells will be discussed and there will also be a confirmation for Chairman Sarah Webster’s new term as Chair of the GEA Board.
Additionally, the board will discuss rates for October 2024 and any other miscellaneous items. The meeting will be held inside the GEA Building in the GEA boardroom.
