The Greeneville Police Department is warning of a scam in the area.
Scammers impersonating deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department have been reportedly calling citizens to inform them they have failed to report for jury duty and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. The scammers then say that if the fine is paid using a Bitcoin Kiosk, the warrant will be recalled.
