State Representative David Hawk has been named an inaugural Defender of Medicine by the Tennessee Medical Association’s Political Action Committee.
The recognition honors members of the General Assembly who have shown a commitment to creating a healthier Tennessee.
Hawk is among 11 members of the Tennessee House of Representatives who were named a Defender of Medicine by the committee. Five state senators were also honored.
As chair of the House Health Subcommittee, Hawk has worked diligently to help pass numerous healthcare bills that positively impact the practice of medicine in the state.
