The Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency will be at at Eastview Recreation Center on 456 East Bernard Avenue in Greeneville on June 7th, 2024 for their June Commodity Food Distribution.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program, known as Commodities, is a Federal Program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans. The food boxes are distributed by Neighborhood Service Center staff. The Commodities provide a variety of nutritious free food that enables low-income families to stretch their grocery dollars.
UETHDA distributes the USDA foods in nine different locations throughout the eight-county service area. Although this is done once a quarter, if you are struggling with food insecurity contact your closest Neighborhood Service Center: Greene County Neighborhood Service Center – 1128 Tusculum Boulevard, Office C, in Greeneville.
Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to income-eligible households until all commodities are gone. People are advised to be in line by 9:30 AM. To sign up or for any questions call 423-246-6180. You can also visit uethda.org to learn more.
