Several were arrested on warrants over the weekend including two men who ran from deputies.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home for a warrant check on 43 year-old Anthony Sutton of the Asheville Highway on Saturday. Sutton had a warrant out of Greene County for Violation of Probation and Suspended/Revoked License (2nd). Deputies were pulling into the driveway when the suspect took off running out the back door of the residence and jumped the porch railing. Sutton gave up and deputies arrested him.
Deputies also made a warrant arrest on North Main Street Saturday for 26 year-old Dakota Hensley of Ripley Island Road. Hensley was located running down North Main Street. Deputies had knowledge the suspect had an active warrant for Violation of Probation. Contact was made and he was taken into custody.
Both suspects were taken to the Greene County Detention Center for booking.
