On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Food City, in collaboration with Highland Elementary School, hosted an engaging and educational produce show and tell event, enriching the students’ understanding of fresh produce and healthy eating habits. Organized by Roger Hensley, Assistant Operations Supervisor for Greeneville City Schools, the event aimed to foster a deeper connection between children and nutritious food choices.
The initiative, which took place at Highland Elementary School, provided students with an interactive opportunity to explore various fruits and vegetables, learn about their nutritional benefits, and understand the importance of incorporating them into their daily diets. Through hands-on activities and engaging presentations, the event sparked curiosity and excitement among the young participants.
Beverly Miller, Assistant Director of Administration, Greeneville City Schools, expressed gratitude to Roger Hensley for “always going above and beyond to serve people.” She also stated this was “an exceptional and educational experience, and I am so glad I got to visit during the event.”
