According to the National Weather Service, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Although there is a marginal threat in small parts of eastern Tennessee, the weather service is not expecting severe weather. A storm or two capable of becoming strong, may exhibit gusty winds and small hail.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday afternoon into late Friday night. Some of these could be strong to severe, but there is uncertainty regarding how much of a severe weather threat there is. If severe storms were to occur, damaging winds would be the most likely hazard.
