Almost 35 grams of suspected Methamphetamine was located during a vehicle search on Thursday after an officer stopped a vehicle for not having a passenger side headlight.
The vehicle was seen turning onto Baileyton Road and was stopped by the Greeneville Police Department at a Dollar General. Both the driver and passenger got out of the car and were told to get back in but did not follow the command. The driver went toward the officer’s door and the passenger went inside the store.
The driver was identified as Timothy Tullock of Greeneville. He was detained due to having a revoked license before additional officers arrived on the scene for assistance. The passenger, Darryl Kelkites of Johnson City, reportedly had active warrants out of Greene County. He was arrested inside the store as he reportedly refused to go outside.
A vehicle search was conducted and 34.5 grams of suspected Meth was found between the car seats, within both of the suspects reach. Kelkites was transported to Greene County Detention Center for evading arrest, felony possession of Methamphetamine, and violation of probation for sessions and criminal courts.
Tullock was also taken to the Detention Center for driving while license is revoked, driving while in possession of Methamphetamine, and felony possession of Methamphetamine.
